I barely made it through the first 2 chapters. I read some of the reviews about a "strong" female lead, but feel this is not even close to accurate. A strong female lead is confident in herself, but not at the expense of others. I had her summed up in the first few paragraphs: bitter. Who would want to read about a person who enjoys the misery of others because she ASSumes they did something to deserve it? There's cynical, then there is this. I REALLY tried to read more to find out the reason she is how she us, but cannot even think I will like the female lead no matter the reason. She assumes the worst about people, but doesn't realize she is the jerk.

Oh. My. Word. Can Ms. Bloom get any better? I went so far as to read to my male co-worker some of the dialogue! Too funny…I mean Ms. Bloom had to have laughed herself silly writing this book.We were introduced to Lilith and her snarky ways in HIS TREAT as Emily’s BFF. If you don’t know her, Lilith can really be off-putting with her put-downs. When she sees her new male neighbor, her fantasies go wild. BUT, when she meets said male neighbor…Oh Wow. He wants nothing to do with her or so she thinks, until the day they meet at their respective mail boxes. There’s a mix-up and she gets his package and he gets her dildo. Oops! Laugh Out Loud moment. What Lilith doesn’t know is that “Bob” is really Liam and hiding out from his crazy, psychopathic step-sister. (You get the reason in Ch 4) When Ms. Bloom writes villains, she does an excellent job and Celia is a prime example. This reader couldn’t wait to see if she got her justice in the end. There are so many great moments: When Lilith got locked out of her apartment; When the guys talk endoscopy; When Liam and Lilith go ice skating and later in the broom closet; When the guys talk about murdering Celia; When Lilith goes undercover; Any conversation between Grammy and anyone else but especially William (from HIS CHERRY) and you’ll never forget the scene of William arriving on the elevator to his surprise party. I heartily recommend any book by Penelope Bloom. I have them all. They are just as funny the second time around. I volunteered to review an ARC of this book through Booksprout.

Ahhh Lilith; snarky, sarcastic, brooding Lilith. I’ve been waiting and hoping for her story to come along and His Package is a great peek into the warped mind of Lilith.Lilith has been a secondary character in a few other recent books by the author set in this new style of writing. His Banana, Her Cherry, His Treat are the first three in the Objects of Attraction series. Lilith is a dark, quick witted character that just stood out on the pages of the previous works she appeared in. She would need one heck of a story to hold a candle to her personality and she got it.Liam is hiding out from his psycho step sister who has run his name into the mud solely because he wouldn’t sleep with her. Yea eww. He rents an apartment right across the hall from Lilith and one day she gets his package. He isn’t normally attracted to someone like Lilith but she intrigues him. Slowly they get to know each other and after telling her about his crazy family she helps him take down the threat.Lilith didn’t want his package but ended up with it anyway. She finds, in him, someone that can keep up with her quirkiness and doesn’t cower from her bluntness. He is the whole package. A great 4 ½ star read for Lilith’s book. The only thing stopping me from giving 5 was I felt her revenge was a little too tame for how I pictured her style. Hoping this series continues I’m loving the theme.

The Objects of Attraction series has been great fun to read. With so many laugh out loud moments it is impossible to not find yourself smiling while reading these books and His Package continues this style. We have meet Lilith before in this series. She has a very dark, snarky, sarcastic personality and seems to take pleasure in others bad luck. Lilith has meet her match in her neighbor Liam. Their interactions hold many laugh out loud moments that are entertaining and engaging. It is hard to not love these two together and to really hope for them to find their happy ever after together.Grammy is my all time favorite supporting character ever. She is great. I love this woman. Every appearance she has made in this series has been the absolute high point.Ms Blooms writing in this series has been top notch. I love how she has portrayed all of these characters and their cross over appearances. They feel like a group of crazy friends that everyone wishes they had. Wonderful series. I not only recommend this one I recommend the whole series.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout but I loved it so much that I bought it, along with all of the other books in this series.

It just keeps getting worse! I enjoyed the first two so I read the next.... barely. This one took a lot of work to read. Less than half way I figured out who Claire was. Then the painful reading of the rest. Come on! Snarky is cute to a point but every book it just gets worse. I no longer get a read on the personality of the characters. If every one around you is always insulting you and or each other then you walk away. This is just a painful read. And the blurb tells you NOTHING! I unfortunately have to add this author to my do not read list. Some snark is funny but the whole book is not. And one star is too much.
