I purchased this book hoping it would provide enough guidance to pass the exam. I am a consultant and work daily with the SharePoint environments of all types, so I expected this book added to my on the job experience would be enough to pass the exam. I was stunned when I sat down in the examination room and discovered how little this book prepared me. This is because the overall breadth of information you must know to pass Microsoft 70-331 exam is overwhelming. If you are looking for an administration companion book or a high level overview of the topics that are on 70-331, buy this book.While the book is broken down into the specific sections of the exam, you will want to take what is presented in the book and annotate it with information from MSDN and TechNet. As a matter of fact, you will probably do better if you spend a lot more time MSDN and in TechNet reading and understanding how to plan, deploy and maintain a SharePoint environment. I'm currently going back through the course outline and just using TechNet to understand how to accomplish the objectives presented on the exam. I expect to do better going this path.

Great book to use for studying 70-331 exam. It covers most of the objectives that are outlined in the exam objectives. Well written and lots of good examples, screen shots and PowerShell scripts. Its a great SharePoint 2013 reference book too. I keep many of the scripts in my fields notes because the work so well.My advice for anyone studying to pass the 70-331 exam; that this book is good starting point. Be sure to follow the many links provided. The links are critical for deep dive understanding and keeps the book from being 900 pages. This exam was way way harder than sharepoint 2010 exams. Wayyyy harder. For this exam they 'whoever they are' have made sure that you know your stuff.I started studying for this exam thinking, it would be simple because I already had my 2010 cert so how hard could it be. Besides Ive already had quite a bit to do with SP 2013 so no big deal.That is not the case. After I went through a CBT Nuggets 70-331 video series 'which is good by the way' and a pluralsight 70-331 series, 'also good', I thought yep I am ready.but I am NOT Ready! There is a heap of questions there that will blow your mind unless you do some serious serious study.I brought this book a couple of months ago because I was planning on doing this exam, but I did not ready it. Now a couple of days in before my exam I am reading it furiosuly ('arrrg last minute cramming'). But you can be assured that this book has all the detailed stuff in it that you need.This book is really comprehensive, which you just cant get from the video series because they simply cannot cover in detail all the stuff.Point is, you will need this book, you will realize that this book is covering in detail the things that will be in the exam, and which you WILL have to know to pass.If you are doing any of the new SP 2013 exams, make sure you get this book for the 70-331. Especially if you make the mistake of not completing the MCSA ' the 3 Windows 2012 exams ' that are kinda pre-requisites before attempting 70-331 and 70-332.I made this mistake and I am feeling the pain because you will find without doing the Server studies, you will be at a disadvantage for the 70-331, like I said, things have changed, they are not going to let any old monkey get a SharePoint cert now, they are making sure only pros pass. This is kinda good and bad. Good if you pass I suppose coz few people will have it, and your resume will be superior to those whom dont. You will be expected to know some pretty advanced server and architecture stuff, identity and security stuff before you attempt 70-331. I didnt know this. fortunately its covered in this book. It was not covered in detail with the videos I watched.You will need this book, besides that I reckon I will continue to use this book well into my professional work. I am actually a SharePoint admin, quite a bit of experience, but the world is changing and I realized by reading this book how very little I actually knew, and how poorly prepared I was for the change.In Summary, If you wish to risk it without this book, then I say good luck.If you wish to pass and be an elite SP guru, buy this book. simple as that.You will not be able to get by with a video series alone.Lastly, Troy I don't know you, but thanks for writing this book. I can tell it would have been a massive heap of work. So cheers for that mate.

The topics in this book are very practical, but the details are not even close to the real exam.It's worth reading but don't expect to pass the exam based on what you learn in this book. You will need a lot more hands-on experience and other source material.

It has taken the better part of a year, but she is coming along nicely.The book taught me new ways of training - and thinking about training - my little girl. If you approach it with an open mind, this book can provide you a great resource.

I was recommended this book by my dog's board certified behaviorist. I was initially hesitant to purchase a book on dog behavior, as I have been a Licensed Veterinary Technician for over 15 years, and I worked closely with a good dog trainer for my rescue dog for over a year. I figured I paid all that money to see a behaviorist, what was another $15?This book is fantastic. There are some chapters I have skipped or glossed over, as my dog is a middle aged rescue, so I don't need the chapters on picking out a puppy or deciding on a breed, house training, etc.The chapters on general behavior and separation anxiety and compulsive disorder, which my dog has recently started with after a cross country move, has been both fascinating and educational. As an LVT, I have heard a lot of opinions from clients about dogs and cats seeking out revenge and knowing they've been bad, and I knew in my heart that wasn't the case, but this book talks about studies and what we've learned over the last decades, and actually gives me the words I need to explain that to clients. I wish I had had this book years ago.If you think you know everything about dogs and their behavior, don't let that stop you from getting this book. I have learned so much about both my dog, and about how to work with dogs in the future. I highly recommend this book to EVERYONE! Anybody can write a book and make is sound like the proper technique, but the authors of this book are board certified veterinary behaviorist. You can't get a more knowledgeable group of people to educate the world on dog behavior.

When I read the first few chapters of this book, I thought, "I've heard all this before." How to pick a dog...well, I choose shelter or rescue animals, and you don't have the luxury of visiting the breeder, evaluating the parents, etc.I also was a little annoyed at the focus on Veterinary Behaviorists. But as I read on, I really started to like this book. I liked the in-depth approach to the whys of dog behavior AND the specific methods of eliciting the behaviors you want and discouraging the behaviors you don't. The authors also displel the 'dominance' myths that some experts use to explain and train dogs.I especially liked the chapter on solving common problems. For instance, one of the common problems is pulling on the leash when taking a walk. Many behaviorists call an act of dominance, and that you have to show the dog who's boss. But the authors argue that leash pulling is not a dominance problem (they use a case to explain); it's a behavior problem. They then go on to discuss how to solve it--step-by-step. They also talk about the tools you need to solve it (no retractable leash, the right collar, etc.).Of all the training books I own, I think this is the one that I'll keep at hand. It not only gives clear solutions to problems, but also does so in a positive, humane way. I'm glad that I took a chance on 'another' dog training book. This one was worth reading.

I am a veterinarian and was recommend this book by a colleague. I have learnt so much about dog behaviour, and positive reinforcement training. The main reason I like this book is that it offers great insight into why dogs do the things they do, which is backed by extensive scientific research , it changes your perspective and reminds us not to anthropomorphize dogs. I recommend this book several times a day at work, to new puppy owners, newly adopted rescue dogs owners, and seasoned dog owners. It has helped me as a dog owner and professional immensely.

I got this for my sister who has a rescue dog that was traumatized and never stops barking. She began reading it immediately and found information that has already helped them and given them hope.

I work as a registered veterinary technician and will be going to vet school in the near future. This book was recommended to me by a board certified veterinary behaviorist at a veterinary conference. It's written by a panel of board certified veterinary behaviorists (i.e. all information in it is credible and not written by random persons lacking the appropriate qualifications to direct the public). I found this book to be very informative and easy to follow. It also has example scenarios to reinforce facts they are trying to convey in the text. After I finished reading it, I immediately passed it around to my co-workers to read.

If you are a cannabis lover like I am then you will certainly find this useful, even if you have never had designs on making extracts. There are some important things to keep in mind before taking the advice in this book, which the author was quick to point out. I am fortunate to live in a state where cannabis consumption is legal. If you aren't as fortunate, please keep your potential legal liabilities in mind. There is also a large section in the book on creating edibles. Again, the author advises treading lightly here, particularly when it comes to the amont you consume, and I couldn't agree more. The practical advice in this book is jPplust as valuable as the recipes, and I appreciated that.Overall this is a nice, concise reference without a lot of frills or fluff. I learned quite a bit.Five stars.

This book more than delivered. I was expecting a how-to guide on how to make cannabis oil (which is basically all I really wanted) but this was so much more than that. There are instructions on not only how to extract oil, but also how to make things I'd never even heard of like Dash, Bubble Hash and Rick Simpson Oil. There are also recipes for edibles that sounded delicious. I found myself fascinated by this book.Learning all of these new things was so interesting to me and I can't wait to get started on making some of these edibles.

Written by someone that consumes way too much weed. They could have at least proof read this garbage. It has very basic information. YouTube videos will definitely be a better choice. Don't waste your money.

There may be some bits of wisdom scattered throughout these pages, but they're difficult to find. Not very professionally written, more like a "Hey buddy...hold my bong and I'll show you sumpin groovy" kind of narrative.I'd certainly hope readers have some understanding of various methods of employing marijuana before reading this book...as I'm not convinced this book includes the most up to date information.

What should I expect for 0.99 USD...I guess the five stars reviews are all fake...Google what you want to know about the subjects supposedly covered in this flyer and you find far better information.

......would have been so much better with photos, drawings anything to help the reader. Some of the chapters were confusing but over all some good information...
