Great song selection, overall. Pretty much includes every title song from various Zelda games throughout the year, as well as some other catchy tunes you probably will recognize. I would place most of these pieces at the beginner-intermediate level, as the tempo of the pieces is something you'd have to get used to. Great stuff, though.

I was not expecting the included art to be in black and white... maybe I missed that in all the reading and researching before Christmas that makes your head spin after a while. I don't see the art mentioned in the description at all anymore... weird. Ours had four full page art drawings bound into the book. The person who received it did not know that I was expecting color, and still loved it. The print was a little snugged on a few pages as well, but I didn't have time to fuss over it, and gave it anyways. No complaints from the recipient as far as I know. This was for someone who was very new to the keyboard so I also searched for and gave them some print outs on how to read sheet music :o)

A really great variety of songs from the Zelda games. Bought for my daughter who shares my passion for gaming and was in the middle of the Alfred piano series Level 3 when she started playing from the Zelda book. She is doing the Main Theme for her spring recital.

As a beginner in playing piano, I am not sure if I would call this an "easy" book. It's more for a level 3 or easy to intermediate performer. The notes have an easy rhythm but they have a wide range of octaves and a few key switches that make the music a little bit tougher for beginners. However, the pieces are fairly identical arrangements to many zelda songs. I also like how they are in order based on game. (I.e. windwaker, ocarina of time, etc.)

My son is a huge Zelda fan and has been taking piano lessons for a short time. He needed to come up with a song for his first piano recital and we found this music. It was a little advanced for him, but with practice, he was able to play the opening Zelda theme for one of his selections at his recital and he played it perfectly. He loves all the songs and I'm sure will use this music for some time!

Love how easy most of these are. A few of them are more for beginners like me, but some others will be good once I get better at the keyboard. It’s so much fun being able to play the music from Zelda!

Lots of great songs. I have no complaints about the selection of the songs. I've been playing for six months and most of these songs are within my ability range but there are some that are challenging. I would recommend this to anyone who has been playing for six months to one year. If you've been playing longer, you might want to pick up the regular version.

My kids are Zelda fans and also play the piano. They have enjoyed playing the different songs that they hear when they play the actual games. It is a good challenge not simple but not too hard.

I love this book because of all the case scenarios presented and that "WWYD" questions asked, because as a school counselor, all of the predicaments in the book can (and have) happened at some school or another. This profession involves so much ethical and legal gray area and it's not always easy to know what the best decision is to make when dealing with ethically or legally ambiguous decisions involving your students. My only critique of this book is that some laws vary state to state so it's not universally applied; I would recommend supplementing this book with one that addresses state education laws of your own state (which Dr. Hatch mentions anyway). Dr. Trish Hatch is a master of her trade. Get this book immediately. We used it in my Master's practicum course and I'm still hanging onto it for dear life as I enter my first year of school counseling.

I believe this to be the most comprehensive text available to school counselors regarding the ethical and legal standards of this profession. Carolyn Some is the leading expert on this topic. I know many students will purchase this book as a required text for class, but I recommend that every school counselor read this book and keep it in your professional library. You will referr to it again and again as you navigate the nuances of school counseling.

It's a keeper. I often rent my books, but this one had so much valuable information, it was worth buying. 2nd Ed and 3rd Ed. are exactly alike until chapter 13 where it goes into new technology, online bullying and sexting laws. Check with your professor if you go with the older edition for the price. Worked for me, but I still would have bought the updated one if I had to. Would actually be worth buying another in a few years when laws change, etc.

Great material. This is a very comprehensive guide for those in helping professions dealing with ethical issues. It can be a very heavy read due to how dense the material is.

I did not realize this book was in large print because I did not see this in the information description. At least it's easy to read!

I didn't think I would get into these stories as much as my 12 year old son did, but I was proven wrong! I was totally immersed in the story and the action, even though I have (had) no interest in martial arts, sword fighting, war stories etc. The stories are so well written and the plot is engaging, so even you don't have a secret desire to be a ninja or samurai you will enjoy the story and the character development etc. My son and his classmates gobbled this series up - Great for the reluctant reader who may not have found his/her genre yet.

Excellent book in excellent condition.

Loved the ease of reading this book...descriptive without becoming mundane. Characters are easy to relate to and like. Highly recommend to adult and teen readers.

This series deserves a bigger audience. I admit I wasn't blown away by the first book, but each book that came after just gets better and better. I have now read every book in the series and have to not-so-patiently wait for the next one to be published.Highly recommended!!!

I'm returning to the piano after a 20-year hiatus (grew up with a piano in the house, studied for a dozen years, even had a few students in high school), and suffice it to say, I'm rusty! I never knew about the Dozen a Day series when I was younger, but I wanted to pick up a few books to brush up on sight reading and build muscle in my fingers again. I type a lot, but found that sitting down to play, my typing fingers couldn't hack it on the piano keys. I researched the best books for warm-ups, and this series popped up on a few sites. I love it! The warm-ups are a nice mix of tempos and rhythms, and I appreciate the staccato and legato exercises to strengthen my muscles... and to play with the emotional element of how I play the notes. The songs are quick, and sound nice enough that the neighbors can enjoy when they overhear. It's definitely helping build muscle strength and sight reading back up, as well as muscle memory and tone recognition. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone like me who is returning to the piano and wants something relatively quick and easy to practice... that works!

We love it just like the others, this is not the 1st book in the series you have the pink and the blue before this one.If you know some piano this one is for you otherwise start with the pink book, the level grows perfectly. They are nice warm up exercises. Will buy them all

I got it on Kindle. I am just frustrated that I didn't know what is the difference between book one and pre book! And, you can't see the inside so I can't decide.thanks

My husband is very musical and can play guitar like no one's business. He likes to play keyboard sometimes too but has never taken any piano lessons. He can play by ear with no problem and writes his own music. However, what he wants to learn is fingering and separating left and right hands. Working through the exercises in the Dozen a Day books should help him achieve those goals. Great price here on Amazon as well.

I'm rediscovering this series after not using it for a while. Each exercise is short and teaches a specific technical skill. There is a little stick figure demonstrating each title. Students seem to like them and don't complain like they do with other technical books. I definitely see their overall facility improve. I don't know about practicing a dozen every day, but because they are short (1 or 2 lines) 3 or 4 works great.

I had hoped my daughter would use this more, but I think these exercises, while good for a regular pianist, are maybe a bit much for a beginner who is struggling just to practice every day. I don't play myself, so it may be a great product for someone who is already advanced in skill. Just maybe not for a kid just beginning.

I found this series to be an excellent tool for increasing one's hand/finger control. The exercises get more demanding as you advance thru each book. This was, for me, the second book in the series offered by this author/teacher. I would not recommend this as your starter book in the series if you are a beginning piano student. Start with the "Preparatory Book" before tackling this, "Book One"

This book was what I was looking for for a couple young boys I am teaching. They seem to be able to do the exercises without too much trouble and it helps them limber up for playing other songs. I had used this book as a child. What I didn't remember was that some of the exercises afre really beyond beginner. So, you pick and choose which ones to use, that they will be able to do. But it's a good book overall. I would have liked to be able to view several pages before purchasing.

I get one of these every year. I was a little disappointed that the headings of the full page of 2017 was printed in light blue. I always make copies for my wall of my cubicle for a quick glance and also for my colleagues. The months and letters of the days did not show up. I use my daily calendar to enter all my appointments and plans for each day. I have a stand for it so I don't lose it in the paper on my desk. I've thought about using my smart phone for all of this but I really like the pictures in the calendar and I save them for years so I can see exactly when I had surgery or that car accident. I keep notes in the back on how to do those annual things better each year. My trip to Macy's with my granddaughter has been honed to perfection. So, yes, I love it!!

it's basically fine,and does have beautiful pictures. However, it would be more useful if, rather than full sized pictures, there was some space on the picture page to jot a few notes. The pages are slightly longer than the average engagement calendar and there is no reason why a small border on each picture page could not allow you to write some crucial notes. Good that the week starts on Monday and not Sunday. The price was right, so I bought and tried it, but I need more interior space for weekly notes.

The photos are great and there's plenty of room to write in appointments for each day. I love that it has a bird log in the back. That's what made me take off the 5th star. Still, I'm happy.

i return to the audubon calendar every year. i use it as my primary calendar. it is not glossy so i can use my wonderful fine tip black pens. it has enough room for personal and work and kids events. i highly recommend

I buy this for my mom every Christmas and she uses it every year as her daily engagement calendar - I think she would be lost without it. She really looks forward to getting it every year!The photographs are always beautiful and the layout allows for plenty of room for notes. Highly recommended!

Four stars because I thought it was 100% birds, but it also has nature scenes and other animals. Also I like the weekly view, but I thought there would be a "monthly view" included at the beginning of each month like my other engagement calendar. There is not. I still like it and use it every day.

I buy the Audubon Engagement Calendar every year and am not ever disappointed by the beautiful nature photos. I look forward to seeing the photo for the next week. The organization of the calendar leaves me plenty of room for notes and other important information.
